SPIIND has manufactured a wide range of custom design automated and manual gates in a wide range of materials and finishes and we woudl be happy to discuss any specific requirements.

SPIIND is currently building nine floating pontoon structures ranging in size up to 40m long x 16m wide and each weighing up to 175 Tonnes. These structures are being fabricated and assembled in SPIIND's Ruakaka workshop with some sub assemblies coming from SPIIND's Tauranga workshop. On completion of fabrication, the pontoons are transported to SPIIND's painting facility at Marsden Point before being transported and craned to the sea at Northport. The pontoons are then towed by sea to Auckland Queens Wharf where they are bolted together and final fitout is completed. When all in place the pontoons will form the new Auckland City Ferry Terminal Docking points and passenger loading platforms.

SPIIND fabricates a wide range of structural elements and complete structures including commercial buildings, pipe racks, stairways, railings, towers etc some of which are shown in different sections of this web site.

An exacting and challenging fabrication project built to extremely tight tolerances and with critical time deadlines for shipping to New Caledonia. Compliance checking to tolerance was achieved by 3D scanning of the 20 segments to ensure they fit together and meet the required base platform dimensions for the blast furnace.

SPIIND fabricated the concrete bridge formers and welded the main Bascule or 'Fish Hook' structure of the Te Matau A Pohe Bridge and has also since undertaken major specialist welding repairs on this award winning bridge in Whangarei.
